Making Lattes with Dunkin’ Donuts: Fancy Navajo Foodie Favorites

*This post was sponsored by Dunkin’ Donuts. All opinions are my own*

I was recently invited to experience and review the new Dunkin’ Next Gen store here in Chandler, AZ. It’s the first Arizona location and more stores will be opening around the country. The new stores offer a modern and casual setting that elevates your coffee and donut experience. It even includes Nitro Infused Cold Brew on tap, but we will get to that later! As most of you know, I LOVE coffee. I love my morning coffee rituals and would prefer to make my coffee at home. However sometimes I need a quick cup of coffee and Dunkin Donuts has always been my go to.

Coffee on tap!

When it comes to coffee, I enjoy it with very little frills. Yeah, I am that person that likes to drink their coffee black! However, not many coffee places have decent drip coffee. It’s either too strong or bitter, and has to be masked with cream and sugar. But I’ve always enjoyed the drip coffee at Dunkin’. Cold or hot I know it’s always going to taste great. Plus, I can always add 5 munchkins to my coffee order! The pumpkin munchkins are my absolute favorite and I wish it was part of the menu year-round.

Nice modern feel!

With the new Dunkin’ Next Gen store, they have added espresso and nitro infused cold brew to their menu.  At the event I was able to try out the Nitro Brew and I was blown away. It was SMOOTH, like really SMOOTH, maybe even too SMOOTH!!! If it wasn’t a tasting portion, I am sure I would have easily downed that baby like it was water! I enjoyed the little frothy bubbles that formed at the top. Overall, the nitro brew was not bitter and it didn’t need any cream or sugar. I think this is going to be my new summer drink!

Trying out the Nitro Infused Cold Brew

Next up was trying out the espresso. But Dunkin’ didn’t let me just try the espresso, they let ME make one!!!! Yeah, I put on an apron, went behind the counter, and I made my own latte!! It was so awesome and I think I can officially put Dunkin’ barista on my resume now. HA! Okay maybe not, since I only made one drink. I decided on a small hot Thin Mint Almond Milk Latte. Plus, who can say no to Girl Scout Cookies. They had a variety of Girl Scout Cookie flavorings, but Thin Mint is my go-to Girls Scout cookie.

Adding fancy Dunkin’ Barista to my resume!

I chose a HOT latte because I am quite particular about how they are made. I am slightly lactose intolerant, so I appreciate when coffee places have non-dairy alternatives.  However, a lot of coffee places burn the almond milk when they steam it!!! So, I always opt for lattes cold and don’t dare to order them hot. Since I was in charge I wanted to see if this would happen. With the kind guidance of the Dunkin’ staff, I pumped in my flavoring, brewed the espresso, steamed my milk, and voila!!! I made my own fancy espresso drink!! The first sip and I was in heaven!! For once I had a hot almond milk latte that actually tasted good!

Of course, you can’t go to Dunkin’ and not have a delicious donut. With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, the store had a surplus of pretty pink and heart shaped donuts. It was really a feast for the eyes and I couldn’t decide on one favorite donut!! I’ll be picking up a few of these on Valentine’s Day to share with my friends. Because who wouldn’t be happy to receive a darling heart shaped donut?

Expecting all of this on Valentine’s Day!

Dunkin’ also partnered with Liz on Call to provide free Valentines’ day pintables for me to share with all of you! They are so cute and adorable! https://lizoncall.com/dunkin-donut-valentine-printables/

  1. It’s been years since I’ve been in a Dunkin! I grew up on them living on the East Coast and when I lived on the West Coast in San Francisco there weren’t very many of them, now they are everywhere and I have to get in for one of their Boston Creme donuts! All my old East Coast colleagues raved about the coffee, never had it but obviously need to try it, I love cold brew!
